Europe on Track 11
Europe on Track 11 (EOT11) was the eleventh edition of AEGEE’s youth-led European flagship project, focused on intersectional identities and their impact on political representation and civic engagement. Building on AEGEE’s core values of democracy, inclusion, freedom, and sustainability, the project explores how overlapping identities such as gender, ethnicity, socio-economic background, disability, and sexual orientation shape young people’s access to participation in democratic life.
Under this thematic focus, EOT11 examined how systemic inequalities and discrimination influence who is represented, who participates, and whose voices are heard in decision-making processes across Europe. Through youth-led discussions, interactive workshops, and local engagement activities, the project created spaces for young people from diverse and often underrepresented backgrounds to share their lived experiences and perspectives. It introducing intersectionality as a key lens in civic education and youth participation, aiming to bridge representation gaps and empower young Europeans to engage critically with political and social systems. The project culminated in a set of policy recommendations that reflect the collective input of hundreds of young people, calling for more inclusive, accessible, and representative approaches to youth policy across Europe.
